What do the fields in asset information mean

1. Securities Market Value

The total market value of securities in your account.

2. Long Market Value

The current total market value of all long positions in your portfolio.

3. Short Market Value

The current total market value of all short positions in your portfolio.

4. Margin Interest Amount

The margin interest amount is the amount you own after daily settlement. The amount may fluctuate due to deposits, withdrawals, positions change, etc. Please refer to your statement for more details.

For example, if you finance $2,000 to buy stocks:

1) After settlement on transaction date, the margin interest amount is 0;

2) After settlement on day T+1, the margin interest amount is 0;

3) After settlement on day T+2, the margin interest amount is $2000.

That is, after financing, no interest will be generated until settlement completes on day T+2.

Following the example above, if you sell these stocks on day T+2, then:

1) After settlement on day T+2, the margin interest amount is $2000;

2) After settlement on day T+3, the margin interest amount is $2000;

3) After settlement on day T+4, the margin interest amount is 0.

That is, after you close out the positions you bought through financing, interest will still be calculated before settlement completes. If you repay by depositing money, no interest will be calculated after funds arrive.

5. Funds on Hold

Funds on hold in your account includes hold on pending orders, transaction fees, IPO subscription, etc.

6. Maximum Withdrawal

The sum of the cash and the amount available for financing in your account.

7. Withdrawable Cash

Withdrawable Cash refers to fully settled funds that can be directly withdrawn to a bank account.

Factors affecting availability

1. Settlement rules

Different asset classes have their own settlement rules, which can impact the availability of Withdrawable Cash.

For example, the US market adopts the T+1 settlement cycle, which means securities transactions will settle within one business day of their transaction date.

Assuming that:

  • Your account has $50,000 cash on transaction date (T).
  • On day T, $20,000 was received from the sale of stocks.
  • At the end of day T, Cash = $70,000, Withdrawable Cash = $50,000.
  • On day T+1, stocks worth $10,000 are purchased, Cash = $70,000 - $10,000 = $60,000, Withdrawable Cash = $50,000 - $10,000 = $40,000.
  • At the end of T +1 day, the settlement for the $20,000 purchase made on day T is complete, and Cash = $60,000, Withdrawable Cash = $40,000 + $20,000 = $60,000.

2. Funds on hold

3. Short positions in stocks or options margins

Short positions and options margins can impact withdrawable cash, and may tie up a portion of your deposited funds. A cash balance in the account does not ensure full withdrawal availability. For details, please open the app, go to the Accounts page, and tap your accounts to check.

8. Excess Liquidity

It indicates the amount by which your account equity can fall before triggering the "Margin Call" status, which is equal to your net liquidation value minus the maintenance margin. When your remaining liquidity is lower than 0, we reserve the right to force liquidation of your positions at any time based on the market conditions.
